We are living in the 21st century and keeping in mind I asked my parents to let me go on a trip with my friends and the first thing they said was ‘Log Kya Kahenge’ and I was like, what!

According to them, going out with boys is like a big no-no and this all because they are always thinking about society and they think we all should behave as per the norms of the society. And, there are some common situations when their emotional atyachar of ‘Log Kya Kahenge’ starts. With this post, I am going to tell you about the situations that trigger ‘Log Kya Kahenge’ attitude of parents.

Here are the situations of ‘Log Kya Kahenge’ :

1. When you choose Humanities Over Science

via

The Humanities is the most misunderstood field that no parents want their child to pursue just because they think ‘Log Kya Kahenge’. Your child was so intelligent, why did he choose Humanities? Parents always have the fear of this line.

2. When you want a love marriage

via

This is not our culture and what will people say! Worst when you love the person of another caste or religion. No matter we are living in the 21st century, still, we live in the time of orthodoxy.

3. When you have no interest in marriage

via

This is like a curse for parents. No matter how educated you are and independent but you need a man to support you and this all things are in the heads of your parents.

4. When you get low marks

via

They only want you to go higher in life and in between this dream of your parents, your low marks come, it will like the worst thing ever happened to them. Also, they have the fear of their neighbors.

5. When you don’t have interest in science

via

Science is the only subject that parents want their kids to choose. They with ‘Log Kya Kahenge’ attitude, force their kids to take only Science as they think it is the only career option.

6. When you want to do something of your own

via

No and a big no! What will people say if you leave your job an try to do the thing of your interest. We agree not every try will be succeeded but without any trial, how can you know it will not.

7. When you do not want to welcome kids in your life

via

Marriage and kids are the two most compulsory aspects of everyone’s life. Everyone must have little monsters in their life, these are the thinking of our society. If you go against the society, then ‘Log Kya Kahenge’.

8. When you want to go out with boys

via

People around you always are in search for a moment when they caught you with your male friend. They get the topic to gossip and your parents will be like don’t go out with your male friends and ‘Log Kya Kahenge’.

Whatever people around our parents say, but parents should trust their kids. And I want my parents too to trust their kids with a belief that they can never break their trust and ‘Log Kya Kahenge’ can’t change their trust.
