May their Soul Rest in Peace
The year is about to end, and we have seen almost everything a fairy tale marriage in Italy, our own miss world 2017 etc. But for Bollywood, this has been a year of tragic farewells. An era has ended in 2017 as we have lost some of the most popular and talented artists in the Hindi Film Industry. From a romantic actor like Vinod Khanna to the funniest actor Neeraj Vora and actresses like Reema ji who played the mother of King Khan SRK and Salman Khan.
It is tragic and painful to lose such talented actors. Today, Peppered is giving them a tribute, and remembering all the actors and actresses who passed away in 2017, and made a huge impact in Indian Cinema.
The heartthrob veteran actor who was the crush of Indian women, took his last breath on 27th July. At the age of 7O, Vinod Khanna lost his battle with cancer and left us with teary eyes. He was not only a great actor but a great human being, and impressive political personality. May his soul rest in peace.
The first Indian and International Bollywood star who made a huge impact through his characters and dialogues Shashi Kapoor Ji passed away on 4th December. How can we forget the dialogue “Mere Paas Maa Hai” of Deewar? His death is an end of a magical era of Indian Cinema, which can never be replaced by any other actor in the industry. We miss you, Shashi Ji.
This is one of most shocking news of 2017 when Om Puri Ji found dead due to cardiac arrest. That time he was shooting for ‘Tubelight’ and his personal life came to limelight after his death. Known as a versatile actor who made all screen performances come alive Om Puri is not with us anymore, but his characters and screen presence will always be with us.
One of the most beautiful mothers who made us cry with her extremely magical screen presence, Reema Lagoo’s death was something we could still not believe. She was just 59, and a sudden cardiac arrest took her away from us. She will be remembered for playing her best roles in Maine Pyar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hai Koun, Kal Ho Na ho and my favorite comedy show Tu Tu Mai Mai.
A well-known movie and television actor, known for a character like Mihir in ‘Kyuki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ and movies like ‘Tumko Na Bhul Payenge‘, ‘Wanted’ and ‘Kahi Pyar Na Ho Jaye‘ Inder Kumar passed away at 44. It is said that after the sexual assault case, he was depressed even though his name was cleared in the case. This is huge loss for his family and Indian Film industry.
December has been a bad month for Bollywood as the industry lost one of the finest comedy actors on 14 December. Neeraj Vora, known for his amazing comic timing and direction took his last breath after a prolonged illness. He directed ‘Phir Hera Feri’ and the first move of Neeraj was Khiladi 420. RIP Neeraj.
