“Sudden Drop For BJP Changes The Game Of Power”
BJP, after the victorious win of Utter Pradesh and Uttarakhand, now bagged the Himachal Pradesh and retained Gujarat after a high-pitched and bitterly-fought election battle by the BJP and Congress.
With this win, the central government has now 21 saffron states in their kitty and this added to the party’s dominance across the country while the opposition party is currently ruling in Karnataka, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Pudducherry, and Punjab.
The winner has won, but the loser hasn’t lost:
The biggest turn comes when Congress gave a tough a challenge to BJP, as all the exit polls predicted Congress would lose the Gujarat election, but at a point, it seemed to be proving all prediction wrong. And, experts believed at one time Rahul Gandhi’s Congress even considered a win, which would be a first for them in two decades in the state of Narendra Modi.

The BJP has been governing in Gujarat for the last two decades and a win today will be important for them ahead of the 2019 general polls.
PM Modi said, “Election results in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh indicate a strong support for politics of good governance and development. I salute the hardworking BJP Karyakartas in these states for their hardwork which has led to these impressive victories. I bow to the people of Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh for their affection and trust in BJP. I assure them that we will leave no stone unturned in furthering the development journey of these states and serve the people tirelessly”
As of now, the BJP is leading in 53 seats, while the Congress has secured 35 seats.
