8 Thrilling Ideas To Celebrate Your New Year’s Eve At Home

Featured Lifestyle

Are you excited about this new year’s eve?

As much as most of us who are the party people love the electric energy of strangers and friends in a buzzy bar on a New Year’s evening, we also sometimes enjoy our own company and the togetherness of our family members or friends on an occasion like this.

Maybe this year not in a glittery jumpsuit but rather in a cozy and comfy pajamas, we’ll enjoy the new year party at home more than anyone else. And, why to feel any shame about it? Going out means overpriced drinks and scuffles for cabs at the end of the evening. This year, we’re going to party like a pro with these 7 totally thrilling activities. And what’s more awesome? You can do these solo or with your entourage. Believe me, even if you’re the worst at camping or your baked donuts turn out flat, you’ve still got that bottle of bubbly at midnight.

So let’s get started!

1. Make previous year’s memory board

Make a memory board of your favorite last year’s moments. It may involve all your vacation memories, family time, school year or college year, friends and people you’ve been involved in the past year, basically your best memories of the year. You may stick it to the wall decorated with lights.

2. Set up a confetti bar

Want to have some fun? You can easily set up a confetti bar and blow the confetti from the balcony with your friends. This always brings me the childhood nostalgia when I used to throw some colors on my dear ones from the balcony.

3. Do the home camping

Gather every pillow, sheet, and mattress. Yeah! I’m not kidding basically, destroy your bed and bring the comfy party to the bedroom. A little canopy overhead, and you’ll feel like you’re out camping under the heavens. Bonus points for buying glow-in-the-dark stars!

4. Master new cocktails at home

Of course, there’s no New year’s eve without a cocktail or a mocktail. Try out your shaker with something fancy this year: a magic punch, Latin-inspired spiked apple cider, or a twist on with some ginger beer. What do you think? Interesting, aye!

5. Order some food and read your horoscope

First, order some Chinese food. Second, eat that much-awaited chocolate in your bag that you haven’t had in the fear of getting fat. And, that aside, read your horoscopes for the new year, make your resolutions, and then predict where you all will be in 25 years and put in a time capsule. Amazing, isn’t it?

6. Make a million donuts

Okay, maybe a million is a bit overenthusiastic, but you get the gist of it. The next day, you’ll be able to soak up all that Champagne with some homemade carbs in the breakfast. So, get that involved in the evening prep.

7. How about a treasure hunt?

Do a treasure hunt around the house by putting clues under the couch, chair or tables. Whoever finds the treasure first, gets to dare anyone to do something!

8. And how about this old music collection?

This one’s my personal favorite. What better than a good music on a new year’s eve.

Well, here’s wishing you a Happy New Year in advance. Have a great home celebration this year.
