Isn’t it demand our attention? Guys trust me it demands our attention. So before rushing to doctor, why not we try out few home remedies.
#1 Add potassium-rich food to your diet:
We can call potassium ‘un-salt’ sometimes and it can lower blood pressure down. So have more potassium-rich foods that include sweet potatoes, spinach, avocado and lima beans.
#2 Take medicines as per schedule
Pills have been added to your routine but you don’t see any drop in blood pressure. Then the reason will be unscheduled medication. So, make sure to schedule it. You can set a reminder on your phone as well.
#3 Bring home a blood pressure kit
If you check your blood pressure on a regular basis, then you will know how your habits are increasing the level of blood pressure. And people who regularly check their blood pressure at home have lower overall blood pressure than those who don’t. So, invest in a good blood pressure kit.
#4 Your parking spot should be far from the door
Taking more steps lead to reduce blood pressure especially in the women who have menopause. Taking 4,000 to 5,000 steps every day could reduce the blood pressure by 11 points.
#5 Consume flaxseed
Add eating of 4 tablespoons of flaxseed in your diet. Flaxseeds are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which can lower down the blood pressure in women who have a heart problem.
#6 Prefer tea over coffee
A cup of tea a day reduces systolic blood pressure by two points and diastolic pressure by one point. The same benefit you can’t get in coffee.
#7 Meditation helps a lot
Meditation relieves not only stress but also lower blood pressure. Give at least five minutes to yourself. Sit quietly and breathe deeply.
#8 Dark chocolate is the rescue
Dark chocolate contains flavonoids that keeps your arteries flexible and can help reduce blood pressure in older people. Flavonoids are also present in wine, tea, and fruits and veggies.
#9 Hold the hand of your partner
Holding hands for 10 minutes keeps blood pressure at bay and could also help keep your levels steady during a stressful time.
#10 Drink orange juice
Two glasses of orange juice at morning and another at night reduces systolic blood pressure by 7 percent and diastolic blood pressure by an average of 4.6 percent, hence keeps blood pressure in control.
#11 Bring a pet home
This not only reduces the blood pressure but also keeps you fit. Having a fleecy friend helps you with hypertension and keeps blood pressure changes in check.
These home remedies are not merely helpful but are quite facile to adopt. You won’t believe my grandma who had to deal with blood pressure problem took her medicines as per schedule and she always went for walk and this brought her blood pressure in control.
