In a terrifying incident, a Pegasus Airlines flight skidded off the runway of a Turkish coastal airport and ended up halfway down a steep slope into the Black Sea. Well, till we have only came to know about some road and railway accident but this news has really shaken the soul.

But, happily, no passengers or crew were hurt, as per the reports by Turkish media. The Plane hangs off a cliff on Saturday night at Trabzon airport in northeast Turkey.

According to the Pegasus Airlines said in a statement:

The Boeing 737-800 aircraft, flying from Ankara to Trabzon, “had a runway excursion incident” as it landed but the 162 passengers, two pilots and four cabin crew were unhurt.

The plane had 162 passengers and crew aboard further it had flown from the Turkish capital, Ankara and had arrived in Trabzon on the Black Sea late on 13th.

The team still investigating the reason for the accident but rather the horrible landing all onboard passengers are saved.

According to Yeni Safak, he said,

“A crisis desk was set up after the accident and asserted that overnight examinations confirmed that there are no longer any problems with the runway.”

‘We’ve taken all necessary measures. We will reopen the airport to air traffic as soon as possible,’ said Yavuz.

According to a statement by Turkish Airlines’ Press Office, two Trabzon-bound flights from Istanbul and one Istanbul-bound flight were canceled due to the Trabzon Airport shutting down until 8:00 AM following the accident.
