Nobody has right to interfere in any individual’s life
In our Indian society though we claim of having that we all are developed and posses ‘badi soch’ few things can’t change at all. Like two adults who are in love with each other and belong to different caste are not permitted to marry.
Have you seen the Anushka Sharma starrer movie ‘NH10’? In the film, we all saw how brutally a couple was killed by the family of a girl just because the duo ran from house to marry each other. That scene literally shocked me to the core. The society and Khap Panchayats don’t let couples to do so and not only asks a question to them but also punishes them for loving their partner.
Well, the Supreme court recently ruled out that any type of attack on adult men and women who do or opt for inter-caste marriage is absolutely illegal.
The bench ruled, “If an adult man and woman marry, no khap panchayat or society can question them”.

Social ostracism or any attack by khap panchayat against men and women opting for inter-caste marriage because of their own volition is absolutely illegal, said the court.
The centre has been also warned by the court to take action against the illegal activities by the Khap Panchayats.
