Sexism Of Yesteryears Is No More Alive After Photographer Switches Gender Roles

Advertisement industry always comes with an advertisement featuring girl and sexuality like when we see the ad of men’s perfume, they choose the girl to present it. Well, is not the trend of the 21st century as back in mid 20th we had seen sexist advertisements.

All ads that rolling that time always featured women working daily with household duties while their husbands were earning outside.

But, in 21st-century Photographer, Eli Rezkallah reversed if some of these sexist ads were given a gender change. In his project called ‘In A Parallel Universe.’

Here has a look at the misogynistic advertisement posters also the inverted version, basically it a women’s world:

Talking about the series, he wrote, “Last Thanksgiving, I overheard my uncles talk about how women are better off cooking, taking care of the kitchen, and fulfilling “their womanly duties”. Although I know that not all men like my uncles think that way I was surprised to learn that some still do, so I went on to imagine a parallel universe, where roles are inverted and men are given a taste of their own sexist poison.”
