‘Padmaavat and The Parrot’
The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial ‘PADMAAVAT’ from the date of announcement of its release is witnessing outrage and protest all around the country. From the attack on Sanjay Leela Bhansali, a dead body in a fort, protest on road and what not else is witnessed by the film just because some people think that the maker of Padmaavat had modified the real story.
Due to the protest on such a high level, few of the Indian states banned the release of the film in their state. In mid of all these controversies, the Supreme Court of India has given the film a nationwide release permission after the CBFC granted it a U/A certification.
Before the movie was set to release with name Padmavati but with damaging the sets, to protests, to threats of mass Jauhar the name is now changed to ‘Padmaavat’ (I don’t know how much change does this make). The new trailer of Padmaavat and a modification in the song Ghoomar are the other changes that are being made in the film.
From months and till now I still wonder why a film based on the story of past became such a controversial issue in the country. Well, in midst of all this I came across a video named ‘Padmaavat and The Parrot’ by a stand-up comedian Varun Grover.
In the video, he explains the real story of Padmaavat in a funny and at the same time in a hilarious way. Watch out the video below and bring laughter to your face.
