Do you love animals? Aren’t they so beautiful to love them! There are many animals lovers in the world who bring their favorite animals home and treat them like their family member. I believe, they deserve to be loved but this love is limited to only a few species of animals as they come under the category of being a pet. But what about other animals which can’t be taken home! Are they deserve to die? Humans inhumane behavior such as excessive hunting, destroying the natural habitat of animals, and become the reason for climate change have become the cause of the extinction of a few animals. The situation is alarming for these animals.
so, let’s know about the animals which are on the verge of extinction:
1. Blue Whale
Blue Whale when gets matured weighted up to 200 tons. It is the largest known species in the world and now on the verge of extinction. In the numbers of Blue Whales, there has been a massive fall for quite some years now. They are found in all oceans except the Arctic.
2. Black-Footed Ferret
This is an endangered species in North America. A large amount of hunting reduced the number of this animal.
The captive breeding programs have been launched to save Black-Footed Ferret from extinction.
3. Green Sea Turtle
This beautiful species of turtle is also about to extinct. They are found in the tropical and sub-tropical waters around the world. Due to overhunting, harvesting of eggs and loss of nesting sites, this is also in danger of extinction. They are covered in three colors, brown, black and grey.
4. Galapagos Penguin
Galapagos island is named after Galapagos Penguins and they have the smallest population among the other species of penguins. Due to weather change and hunting, they are on the verge of extinction. They have black upperparts and white lower parts. One can see them in the daylight on Galapagos island.
This beautiful mammal species of about 101 different types are found on the island of Madagascar. The reason behind their extinction is overhunting and destruction of habitat.
6. Polar Bear
Polar Bear can be about 8-9 feet tall and weigh up to 800 kgs are found in Arctic region. The extreme cold of the polar region is survived with a hefty amount of body fat with a protective coat by them. The climate change and the melting the ice-sheets are resulting in their extinction.
7. Red Panda
The high altitude of Himalayan region is the place of living of Red Panda. They are a really beautiful animal but sadly is on the way to extinct. The loss of natural habitat and fragmentation are the reason for their extinction now. The Red Pandas are nocturnal per se but they spend most of their daytime sleeping.
Like a few other animals, these animals can also be extinct as they are already in danger of extinction. We all should take steps in order to save these animals from being extinct forever.
