A Doctor From Uttar Pradesh Used A Patient’s Amputated Leg As A Pillow

Recently, a shocking incident went viral on social media, when two doctors of Maharani Laxmibai Medical College and Hospital, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh used as a pillow. Wait! this is not a normal pillow instead they use patient’s leg as a pillow.

The picture has circulated is highly disturbing, the patient recognized as 28-year-old Ghanshyam, was seen with his own severed leg under his head.

As per the Sadhna Kaushik, principal of the Maharani Laxmibai Medical College and Hospital, “We have set up a four-member committee to find out who put the severed leg under the patient’s head.” She told news agency AFP, “Strict action will be taken if our staff is found at fault.”


However, two doctors have already been suspended pending investigation. While a relative of the patient told NDTV, “When we reached the hospital, we saw his leg being used as a headrest.”

“I repeatedly asked the doctors to intervene but they refused,” Ms. Prasad added, saying Ghanshyam’s relatives eventually bought a pillow from a local market. “The doctor looked for something to raise his head. The patient’s attendant used the leg,” she told news agency PTI.

Seriously, this is Medical negligence in hospitals. Proper investigation is needed!
